Before I begin...

Just to let you know... I've never blogged before. This would be the first time in a long time where my thoughts were recorded in writing rather than pictures or drawings - so if you find it hard to understand me; be nice, let it slide and just smile and nod as if you do understand me okay? Alright then!

I've read all the "must read" books of photography, I've Googled everything helpful tip to getting great shots, I've joined numerous groups on Flickr to see what other creative people can do with similar gear. But I now feel the need to get serious and become a Profesional Amateur shooter. In an attempt to better understand where I sit and where I want to be, skill & creative wise, I've created this blog in an attempt to expand my photography, to look at objects differently, to see potential where potential normally wouldn't be noticed. I've decided that it was time to a 365 or P.A.D (Picture A Day)
Project. The concept to this project is quite simple really... take one picture a day. Can't get any easier than that!

But to make things more interesting, I have divided the upcoming year into week-long themes. Each week I have a theme that I shoot just for that week. My themes vary from a totally random word to more specific photography techniques. I will try to explain why I chose each picture and how it ties in with the theme of that week.

I will begin my year long project on April 4th and try my best to pushing until next April 4th. Hopefully my quest on becoming a better Weekend Photographer will intrigue you enough to keep tabs on my journey!

And with all that being said, Week 1's theme will be - the Sun.

See you in a couple of days :)

Hope you enjoyed my blog :D
